ANNOUNCEMENT - DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THE NEXT COUNTRY CLASSIC SONG CONTEST WILL NOT BE HELD THIS YEAR. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR. IN THE MEANTIME CHECK OUT OUR NEXT CONTEST: THE NEXT HOLIDAY CLASSIC

Welcome to The Next Country Classic!

The Next Country Classic is a free internet song contest
for original country, roots and bluegrass songs. TNCC showcases songs that may not always be "cutting edge" according to current music trends, but rather, may stand the "test of time" for years to come.

You are invited to submit your entries and compete for a First Place award of $300 as well as the opportunity to be presented to major label recording artists for inclusion on their 2011 projects.

During each of the three consecutive semi-final weeks beginning September 4, 2011, online voters will determine which songs will advance to the final. The final will then be held the week of September 25, 2011.

The Winner of The Next Country Classic 2011 will be announced October 5, 2011.

Upcoming Contests: The Next Holiday Classic and The Next Wedding Classic Song Contests

NEW THIS YEAR! We welcome Springbarrel Songwriter Services as a major sponsor. Springbarrel has a distinguished history of representing the catalogs of some of the best songwriters in Nashville and we are honored by their participation. Their songwriting services provide an additional cash value of $1800 for qualifying songs which they will be actively seeking to license with major artist and media outlets.

"Just a note to congratulate you on setting up this type of format for your song contests. I just found out I did not make the (finals) but I really felt that the songs picked were excellent and deserve to go on. WAY TO GO!" Pat Nelson (entrant in The Next Holiday Classic)
